Hello everyone,

I hope this post finds you well. As the title suggests we recently had a week long poll about where EMH's postings ought to be. The final results were 81% for archiveofourown (AO3), 17% for both dreamwidth and ao3, and 2% for dreamwidth.

This means that we will be posting on ao3! However, this also means that how submissions are sent in will change, but if you don't have an ao3 don't fret! We will proceed with the traditional style of e-mail submission in that case, and I'll explain more about that when later in this post. Check-ins will still remain the same and we will e-mail everyone to remind them.

For now, I would like to break down final submissions on AO3 so there's time to digest and answer any and all questions you may have over the next couple of months.

In overview, AO3 Users will not submit final drafts to us via e-mail. Instead you will be in charge of posting your own piece onto our AO3 collection at http://archiveofourown.org/collections/emhroundtwo.
Everything will be Anonymous until reveals.

(In the interest of convenience you can bookmark the link for later. You can also access it by looking at EMH's profile under 'collections'.)

We will tweet submissions normally, one-by-one, starting on September 21st, but if readers come across your piece before your tweets that's even better! We only ask you do not reply to comments until reveals.

Final Submission
  • On the Collection page click 'Post to Collection' at the top right corner.
  • This will bring up the 'Post New Work' page that you use for any piece of work on ao3
  • Please be sure to list the appropriate rating and possible trigger warnings.
  • 'Fandoms' as EXO (band) and others as you see fit.
  • Fill in the pairing in 'Relationship' and 'Category'.
  • Type 'Notes' preferably 'at the beginning' beginning with your PROMPT #00.
  • Do not tick 'only show your work to registered users' or 'disable anonymous commenting' during the fest.
  • Everything else is free reign.
  • Click 'Preview' or 'Post Without Preview' to post.
  • Notify us via e-mail, twitter, ask, or here that you've posted.
  • And that's it!

This submission method is great since it means you have full control over your work, whether you want to delete, orphan, or edit your work days, months, or years after the fest is through.

For NON-AO3 Users, writers who didn't provide an ao3 username, will be sent a "traditional" final submission e-mail closer to the rolling submission period.

We will ask for the title, rating, pairing, summary, trigger warnings, and any author's note you may wish to add. Rest assured you will still have access to your piece to either delete or edit it. If you would prefer to orphan it and don't mind having it up we will keep it within the collection. All you have to do is contact us!

*You can start submitting after you've checked in with us at least twice in accordance to check in dates, so we can touch base on how your story is going.*

We hope that this has been useful information for you and not the confusing mess Ree thinks it is.
Good luck! ♥ Keep going!
